Big Rain....Small Gutters!
This is pretty neat. I love all the water droplets and the steady stream coming from those poor gutters! :)
ReplyDeleteHow can something so wrong (overflowing gutter) be so right? ...at least for this challenge.
ReplyDeleteI really love the idea of a big unit being made up of smaller ones. You capture that here. I like the angle of this photo, but the lighting bothers me. What time of day was this? Or was it just really overcast because it was raining? The trees give me a sense of foreboding. Did you use a flash up under there? Flashes can sometimes really wash a subject out or make a background appear very dark...however if your background was brighter we wouldn't see the water...This is indeed a very difficult subject to catch.
ReplyDeleteGreat concept!
Love the concept here with the big rain. Water pictures are my favorite! I agree with Diana about the lighting. I get so frustrated when I don't have enough light to work without my flash.
ReplyDeleteI love sparkly water photos :) And the angle it is taken at makes it more interesting.
ReplyDeleteChocolate Hug's comments are quite thoughtful. I like the idea in this photo. Perhaps if less of the gutter showed up in the photo? The flash makes it terribly white which overshadows the rest of the image. I really have struggled with flash photography in my experimentations. One thing I have tried is using the zoom feature and standing further back, but I doubt that would help her. I'm such an amateur! Heh. I will say though, I love the idea in this photo. Splashing water will always be a great subject for photos.
ReplyDeleteI posted for this challenge, but was too late to get a link up in mclinky. Doh.
there's something really elegant about this image- I love the flowing water out of the gutter! I wonder what this looks like in winter... I guess we'll see soon enough.
ReplyDeleteGreat interpretation, too- a little more outside the box- big rain (even though droplets are little) and small gutter....poor gutters :)
Sorry this is so late...flu bug got the best of me for a couple days!
